The theme over at Written Inc is "Green" and as a lover of all things Green I'm gonna find it difficult not to post too many, so here goes with my first from a shoot in the Rother Valley yesterday. Carmi has taught me to get down and dirty so I am sure he would be proud to see me lying down in the farmers field trying to get a shot of the barley as it is just opening up.
Looking forward to seeing what others come up with.

Lovely, I like the way the barley is sharp and clear against the out of focus background. It's winter here downunder so my first contribution is from my files rather than getting down and dirty like you (but yes, I'm sure Carmi would be proud of you)
ah......that's good
I love the blurred background with the different shades of green and just that touch of yellow... lush life growing there. Thanks for stopping by.
Thats wonderful. I love the grains pushing past the sheath. Nature is so powerful.
I LOVE your shot!!!!
Natures green are the most beautiful :)
And being on the ground while shooting is great ;)
Mine is up too!
Have a great weekend!

There is something very innocent about the tender shoot and buds. It's a standout, for sure.

Such an awesome close-up! I love the depth of field. Sometimes you just have to lay down and get dirty for the good shots. But it's so worth it! :D
